Outsourcing

PerkinElmer has embarked on an aggressive outsourcing programme to increase flexibility and responsiveness in its supply chain, maximising the value it provides to the customer. A cross functional team has been established to deliver increased material productivity, value add per person, supplier quality and reduced cycle times. Initially the work focuses on driving improvements in existing products with the strategic intent to involve world class suppliers in the early stages of New Product Introduction, working with them to increase speed to market and deliver a competitive advantage for the long term.
